AFFRM is a personal audio tool. It is not therapy, medical treatment, or professional advice of any kind.
1. Agreement
These terms cover the AFFRM website and the AFFRM app. Both are run by AVNT AB, a company in Sweden ("we", "us"). By using either one, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free. It gets you a welcome email now and news when AFFRM launches. It is not a purchase, and it does not promise a launch date. Prices on the website may change before launch. You can leave the list at any time with the unsubscribe link, or by emailing us. How we handle your email is in the Privacy Policy.
3. What the app does
AFFRM turns text you write into spoken audio on your device and plays it back on repeat, with controls over voice, speed, pitch, spacing and audio treatment. It also provides a catalogue of written affirmations.
4. Not medical or professional advice
AFFRM is a personal audio and self-development tool. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app is medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a qualified professional. Use of the app is not a substitute for doing so.
5. Your content
The affirmations you write are yours. They stay on your device and we never receive them, so we claim no rights over them and cannot access, moderate, or recover them. If you delete the app, they are gone - there is no backup on our side. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Our content
The catalogue affirmations, the app itself, its design, name and branding are ours or our licensors'. You may use them personally inside the app. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish the catalogue content or the generated audio as your own product.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to create content that is unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the bundled speech model beyond what its open-source licence permits.
8. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. All payments and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your device's Settings under your Apple ID. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- An introductory or trial offer, where one is available, converts to the standard price automatically unless cancelled before it ends.
- Refund requests go to Apple, under Apple's refund policy.
9. Third-party software
AFFRM includes open-source components, including the Kokoro speech model, used under their respective licences.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features. We will not deliberately break something you have paid for without offering a remedy through Apple.
11. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live.
